Jugpreet’s passion for music brought light into his life as for him the world was as dark as night. He lost his vision due to eye cancer when he was only 6 months old. Blessed with a melodious voice and coupled with his exposure to classical ‘Ragas’, Jugpreet has captured the hearts of all those who got the opportunity to listen to him. He is a versatile singer and can sing in 16 Languages. He is a vocalist trained in Indian Classical music having obtained his degree of SANGEET BHUSHAN in addition to Diploma in Western Classical Music.
Jugpreet Bajwa impressed the audience in many countries by becoming a runner-up in Zee TV’s SaReGaMaPa 2016. Bollywood legendary actor Salman Khan made a surprise visit to give his best wishes and blessings to Jugpreet. He also got the opportunity to perform in front of Honorable Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India and Honorable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada during Mr. Modi’s visit to Vancouver (Canada) on April 15, 2015.
Jugpreet also got the honour of becoming a delegate of the Canadian Delegation who represented Canada at FICCI Frames at Mumbai (India) in March 2017 and was the sole performer at the opening ceremony of FICCI Frames — which was attended by Bollywood’s elite. Jugpreet raised funds for various charitable societies and trusts and performed on big shows like Sawan Mela, VIBC, Ismaili Walk a Thon, Surrey Fusion Festival, Festival of India, RBC Desi Fest, Fiji Festival, Jamaican Festival, CFOFO, Cops for Cancer, etc.
Distinctions in Music Competitions.
Jugpreet won Bollywood Ek Tara Competition in Vancouver in 2008. Furthermore, he was a runner-up in Canadian Desi Idol as well as at BC Junior Talent Competition in 2009. Jugpreet won Red FM Idol in 2010. Also, he won the Indian Classical Music Competition in 2010, which was judged by Legendary Pandit Jasraj Ji himself. International organizations and universities including Vancouver Red FM Idol in 2018 and 2019 invited Jugpreet to judge their music competitions.

Numerous articles and his interviews were published in Print and electronic media such as “Darpan” Magazine which included his name as one of the ‘Top 8 Most Influential Canadian Newsmakers of 2016’. He has won many national and international awards and titles. He was honoured with BC Community Leadership Award for Courage in 2010. Also, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013 by the Governor General of Canada.

The connoisseurs of music have warmly received his albums ‘Juggy De Nakhare,’ ‘Baani Teri Baani,’ and ‘Shikvey.’ The budding lyrical genius, Jugpreet Bajwa, made the composition and music of ‘Shikvey.’ Where as, Mr. Krishan Bector wrote the Urdu lyrics of Shikvey. His first single music video named ‘Dil Vich’ was released in June 2014. Recently, he released his English single ‘You and I’ and Hindi Song ‘Teri Yaadon Mein.’ Everyone highly acclaimed his spiritual song ‘Rabb Diyaan Gallan.’ Jugpreet made his debut as a playback singer by singing a song in Bollywood film “Chicken Curry Law” which is going to be released in 2019.
Through music Jugpreet wants to spread the message of happiness, love, peace and tranquility in this torn-ridden atmosphere of terrorism all over the world. His continued musical journey not only entertains the audience but also boosts the morale of hospitalised patients — both young and old. He has been inspiring patients like himself to take life as it comes — with grit. Jugpreet’s goal is to motivate the patients to take a positive approach towards life. He wanted to send a message to their families that their positive attitude will help their children. Moreover, it will motivate the patients suffering from cancer to cope with their situation. Numerous elementary and high schools have invited Jugpreet as a motivational speaker. He discusses how to overcome the difficulties they are facing in their lives, especially the students with special needs. He urges them to keep away from drugs and gangs.
Viewed in the above backdrop, the achievements of Jugpreet Bajwa are a saga of grit, determination, perseverance and hard work. This was made possible by the unswerving faith in God inherited from his parents and emulated from his siblings and well-wishers.
